    Is it legal?

    Yes, the use of Target Blu-Eye is legal since the system is only informing the driver whether an emergency service vehicle is nearby.

    Moreover, Target Blu-Eye cannot differentiate between police vehicles, ambulances or fire engines.

    You will be warned of all types of emergency vehicles in the same way.

    1What will it cost?
    The cost of Target Blu Eye 2 will vary depending on system spec as there is a new LCD option or mirror integration option. All updates are free for the life of the unit should you wish to do them yourself. Fitting centres may charge for any updates.

    3Where will my Target Blue-Eye be fitted in the vehicle?
    The fitting centre will take you through where you would like the display fitted, the antenna will be fitted either on the front or back windscreens or other locations. The control box will be hidden from sight. At our UK Installation site (CBS Automotive), we have a vast knowledge and understanding of the product and will guide you on the best solution for your car.
    4Does Target Blu-Eye work in Europe?
    The Tetra network for emergency services is also used in The Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia, Germany (nationwide in 2014), Austria, Scandinavia, Slovenia, Spain, Portugal, Hungary and Italy. Coverage is variable and cannot be guaranteed and may be regional.
    5Will my Target Blue-Eye be activated by Tetra Radios used for civil purposes
    No, because, emergency services use different frequencies. Therefore Target Blu-Eye does not recognize signals for civil use.
    6What is the range of Target Blu-Eye?
    The detection range of Target Blu Eye varies from hundreds of metres to approximately one kilometre. The range also depends on the selected sensitivity mode and the environment as well as the type and location of the antenna.
    7Does Target Blu Eye always warn you of approaching emergency services?
    All signals transmitted by emergency services will be detected by the Target Blu Eye. However, emergency services do not always transmit (periodical) signals. The Tetra radio can be switched off or be in direct mode (DMO).
    8Is the Target Blu-Eye 2 100% accurate?
    No, the system is around 80% accurate subject to a professional installation. We recommend you contact CBS Automotive based in Cambridge for your installation.
    9What's the difference between Target Blu-Eye 1 and 2?
    The main differences are that TBE 1 is no longer manufactured and TBE 2 is the replacement kit. The unit has been made much better though, it now has a wide bandwidth so it can scan more at once and in turn give you more accuracy. Also there is a fully integrated mirror kit solution as well as an updated LCD display with the new Target Blu Eye 2.
