All of the tow bars that we fit at CBS Automotive are mounted to the relevant fixing points as specified by all car manufacturers; meeting the required standard.
We do not work with just one tow bar manufacturer, therefore we will happily individualise and personalise each customers tow bar desires.

Do I need a tow bar?
Cars are used for various reasons, whether this be everyday use or traveling further afield (for business or pleasure). Often, these trips will require the use of tow bars to assist you with carrying your larger goods such as bikes, a trailer or caravan.
While some vehicles will have a tow bar fitted already, others will of course need to have them installed at a later date, and that is where CBS Automotive comes in!
Considerations to make when choosing your tow bar:
- Before making your decision it is also important to ensure that you are up to date with all laws relating to towing and road safety.
- Once you have made the decision to fit a tow bar to your vehicle(s), it is important to make a note of how much weight you will be towing. For example, if you are towing a trailer its important to also factor in the weight inside of it too. This will determine the size of the tow bar that you will need.
- When you have successfully installed the tow bar required, it is also important to make sure that you can see around the item you are towing. To help see around any blind spots, you could install towing mirrors as well.

What an awesome bunch! Ordered Soritmo van racking and they were my local fitters. Unfortunately on the day of the installation they discovered my new flooring was not sent with the racking! No problem for them, they quickly sorted out some temporary flooring to allow my racking to be fitted same day so I could get back on the road earning my living. Been back to have the correct floor fitted as agreed. Brilliant service from these guys, Sortimo could learn a thing or too from them. Will be using their services in the future to fit a tracker on the race car!

I have just bought a new Fiat 500CE from our local Fiat dealer in Cambridge. I decided that I wanted the 500 stripe and Italian badge packs on my new car. Since the dealer did not fit the packs, I chose to try out CBS Automotive. When I went to collect my car, I had a lovely surprise as the decals and badges had been fitted. I used CBS to install rear parking sensors on my new car. I found them via one of their videos on Youtube. Had a new head unit installed by these guys and they were very professional! The installation was no hassle at all and the job was done on the same day (make sure you give them a call before you go). Now my car has a new head unit which is much better than the OEM one. All the staff are kind, professional and knowledgeable. If you have any concerns, check their ytb channel, I was attracted by their amazing demos before I decided to go.

They were professional and very well on time. They retune my speakers as it was let down by the previous different companies. Steve, one of the worker that did my tuning. Cambridge Battery Service (CBS) has always had a good reputation for fitting high-end ICE and other components to equally high-end vehicles, but they recently sorted out a long-standing electrical issue on my somewhat more mundane car too.Their friendliness and approachability as well as their obvious skills and experience is very confidence-inspiring so, although I appreciate people will travel a long way to use them, I'm glad they're fairly local to me as I've no hesitation in being a returning client.

I made an appointment to have a tow bar fitted to my Audi.The only very minor problem I had was finding the premises as the postcode gave me a point a little to the south. This was quickly resolved by a telephone call and CBS is easy to find if you keep going north of Horningsea. I only mention that since everything else went so well. The place was spotless not really what you expect for tow bar fitting. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. My four and six year old grandchildren entertained and made welcome. The operation of the bar was explained in detail. Finally the car was smart and shiny. I left feeling very happy and my thanks go to all staff including names I remember Adil, Steve and Chrissie.

Great job fitting reversing sensors for my wife's Nissan Juke. I only wish I'd had it done earlier. The sensors perfectly match the bumper colour and look as clean as any factory installed sensors. Clean sophisticated showroom and work area. Good communication and overall customer care.

CBS is a serious outfit worth travelling for, I had security upgrades installed on my car by them, all carried out at their impressive new facility away from the hustle and bustle of Cambridge city centre. Coffee and chat with Adil while the work was carried out, in the comfort of the modern and large waiting area. I’ve had bad experiences with mobile auto electricians before so wanted somewhere a bit more professional, CBS didn’t disappoint. I Wouldn’t hesitate to have any other work carried out there.

The most FASTEST and BEST service for cars I have ever had! Turned up today with faulty wipers and fixed within minutes of arriving. Not only was it fix quickly, the dude actually informed me what he was doing and taught me how to search for the problem in the future! I rang for a quote to fit rear parking sensors and the very helpful gentleman gave me an exact figure to complete the job and approximate installation time. I thought the quote was very reasonable and promptly booked my car in for the work to be carried out. Everything went like clockwork. I left my car at the workshop at 8.30am, took my dog for a wonderful walk to Lode and back and by 11.30am my car was ready to drive away. This company is as professional as they come and I would recommend them to anyone.

CBS Automotive upgraded the stereo in my BMW Z4 E89 and did an excellent job. It turned out there was a problem where the "permanent" power feed cut out after some time when the ignition was off, and so the stereo kept resetting, CBS Automotive got my car back in again very quickly, diagnosed and solved the issue. Each time they were able to supply me with a courtesy car, so I was able to go to work with minimal disruption.Thank you for a truly first class service!

I've had the sound system now for about a month. Works perfectly. Would happily recommend. Slightly expensive, but well worth it. Replaced factory FM radio/CD with DAB etc for my MX5. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, all fitted with out issues in a couple of hours.

Brilliant service, Mid Tint window tinting in the back three (Clio 07 three-door). Would recommend to anyone, and love the personal touches to the services they offer
